Use DK washable yarn and size 4 mm [old size 8] needles.

Cast on 24 sts.

Work 8 rows in rib (K1, P1)

Row 9. K1, *YF K2tog. Repeat from * to last stitch and then K1.

Row 10. Purl.

Row 11. Knit

Row 12. Purl.

Repeat last 2 rows 7 times.

Row 27 K1, S1K1PSSO, K6, K2 tog, K2, S1K1PSSO, K6, K2tog, K1.

Row 28. Purl.

Row 29. K1, S1K1PSSO, K4, K2 tog, K2, S1K1PSSO, K4, K2tog, K1.

Row 30. Purl.

Cast off the remaining 16sts and then join top and side seam.

Thread cord or ribbon through holes.
