Use a 3.5mm or 4mm hook and soft, pastel 4 ply or DK yarn.

Chain a Multiple of 10, +2.

Foundation Row:

Miss 2 chains, 1 tr. into each of the next 4 chains. *miss 2 chain, 1 tr. into each of next 4 chain, 2 chain , 1 tr. into each of next 4 chain*. Repeat from * to last 6 chains. Miss 2 chain, 1 tr. into each of the next 3 chain, 2 tr. into the last chain. 3 chain, turn.

Row 1:

1 tr. into first stitch, 1 tr. into each of the next 3 stitches. *miss 2 stitches, 1 tr. into each of the next 3 stitches, [1 tr., 2ch, 1tr.] into the 2 chain space 1 tr. into each of the next 3 stitches*. Repeat from * to last 6 stitches. Miss 2 stitches, 1 tr. into each of next 3 stitches, 2 tr. into top of turning chain. 3 chain, turn.

Repeat Row 1 until desired length. This blanket has a wavy edge, so is fine without an extra edging.

This pattern works well with variegated yarn.
